I’m sorry I haven’t commented in a while. Basically my only excuse is: I suck. I dunno, my brain has been working at like half-speed lately, I don’t think I’ve said an intelligent thing in weeks. I’m back now, though–sorry to disappoint you, Ben! :) I’ve been listening to most of them though (I haven’t listened to the poetry show yet, but I’m looking forward to it). I’m glad you seem to be more cheerful, I’m really sorry things have been hard for you.
One time my dad shaved his beard off and I couldn’t recognize him. I was, like, seven at the time, too. And I totally failed to recognize my mother in stage makeup a few times, too, at around the same age.
I think there’s probably a happy medium between ‘useless drunk guy’ and ‘useful member of society in a cult’, though. ou can probably be a useful member of society and NOT be in a cult, too.
Ugh. Dude, some tabloid wrote an article about the pregant transdude that was like, “he tried to kill himself twice! He’s unfit to be a parent!” Like, um, hello? He tried to commit suicide when he was *living as a female and probably feeling totally trapped in a life he didn’t want*. I fucking hate people sometimes. And also, what the fuck, if you ever try to commit suicide or deal with depression, you’re not qualified to be a parent? What the hell ever?
I swear to god, I have never seen maggots in my trash since then.
