Do you comment on a lot of other podcasts or blogs? Because that's a good way to get people acquainted with you and expand your listeners--I know even on LJ, I'm more likely to comment on someone's entry if they comment in my journal as well.

Aw, dude, burn Kanye's album for me! I always love his singles, so I'd really love to hear the whole album.

I think Kanye's reliance on the college dropout theme is both to a) challnge the popular perception that rappers are uneducated (or at least, too dumb to even go to college) and b) emphasize his rejection of that system in favor of making his own way. I could be wrong, but that's always been my perception of it.

Really, the great ones are my parents. They've always been amazingly generous and welcoming to mine and Sheryl's friends--I mean, you lived with us, Brandi lived here for like 8 months, Heaven practically lived here and Kristin practically lives here now, my friend Kelly has stayed for weeks at a time when she was experiencing problems--not to mention letting Amy live there til she was 25, and letting me and Sheryl stay rent-free. I WILL definately disagree with you about my mom's dramaticness and neuroses, but yeah, ultimately I realize that I'm really lucky to have them.

Well, what do you consider as "doing right"? Cause I mean, you're already very accomplished for your age--certainly more accomplished than me and certainly more together than the tons of kids who graduate college and move back in with their parents cause they have no idea what else to do. I think you just can't expect to have your life *completely* together at 22. If your life isn't the way you want it to be right now, it doesn't mean you're gonna end up dead in a gutter, it just means you're 22.
(Ha, I wrote the 'dead in a gutter' thing before you said it on the podcast--clearly fucked up minds think alike. And just like you, I occasionally fear that I'll die alone in a gutter, but when it comes to other people I'm like, "Don't be so hard on yourself! It'll be okay!" Fucked up minds really *do* think alike.)
