A couple years back, I edited a film for a couple of fellows named Jeff and Craig. It was s short documentary on sound in the era of Silent Film. But, you say, it was called “Silent Film” because there wasn’t any sound! Oh but there was, and that is what this film covers. In the near future I hope to put up a short trailer here on the site, as well as directions on how to see it or get yourself a copy. For now, if you’re interested just let me know and I can hook you up.

I’m not just mentioning this for nostalgia, however. Recently, the film we made – entitled “The Sounds of Silent Cinema” – was entered in the International Student Film Festival Hollywood, and won Best Documentary. Although it isn’t specifically for editing, this is the first film I’ve worked on in a significant capacity that has won an award, so it’s a pretty exciting time for me.

Hello everyone!

To reflect the fact that I am now a college graduate, and therefor looking for work, I have made a few changes around here, most notably putting something decent behind that “Movies” link. Now you can see some of the movies and motion graphics projects I’ve worked on!

Hopefully we can all expect more changes, although there is an excellent chance that they will be born of my continued unemployment, which is somewhat less than desireable. We shall see.
